PS3 DNS Error – fix for Linksys Routers (error number 80710102) The recurring DNS error on the PS3 is extremely frustrating!! Here are the changes I made to get it to work based on information that I found online. I took screenshots because it’s easier to see than explain. 1) 1) On the PS3, go to “ Settings” then “Network Settings” and then “???????????” to get the MAC address of your PS3. Write it down. 2) Log into your router (eg 192.168.1.101 is the address I set for mine). 3) Click on “Applications & Gaming” then select “Single Port Forwarding”. 4) Decide what static IP Address you will select for your PS3 (eg I selected 192.168.1.135 for my PS3). 5) Enter the following information below (however, replace 192.168.1.135 with your chosen PS3 static IP address): Next click on “Port Range Forwarding” under “Applications ...
